Gordon Pictured: Closes His Eyes and Proceeds to Windmill Every Thing in Sight As Van Persie Closes In On Goal
Craig Gordon has been ruled out for up to 3 months after his collision with Jermaine Defoe at White Hart Lane two weeks ago.
Gordon has been in fine form of late and after enduring quite a difficult time on Wearside since arriving for a British record transfer fee for a goalkeeper. Fans opinion have been split with regards to Gordon’s performances and you could compare him to a tub of marmite (No, I don’t mean he wears a yellow lid on his head and is canny on toast). I mean that Sunderland fans seem to love him or hate him.
Personally, I think he’s been a great investment and will surely only improve the more games he plays for us.
No doubt Fulop will take this opportunity to state his claim as a first team regular but Bruce believes he’ll face stiff competition from Trevor Carson.
Bruce said: “Marton’s been there and done it before, but Trevor has a chance to stake his claim, too.
“I was impressed with the way he handled himself in pre-season, so it’s not a foregone conclusion that I’m going to pick Marton. Trevor has a chance to come in, too.”
