Nestor Calderon Reveals Sunderland Dream
By
Nestor Calderon, Sunderland’s Mexican target has revealed that it is his dream to play in England.
Calderon plays for Mexican side Toluca (the same side Da Silva left to come to play for us), he is a regular for the Mexican International side and has scored 5 goals in 10 games so far this season.
When asked about Sunderland’s interest, Calderon replied:
“To tell the truth this news about me being transferred to Sunderland has taken me by surprise because I really don’t know anything about it,” he told Televisa Deportes.
“Of course it’s a dream for me to play in England, it would be very important for my career. But for the moment it’s only a rumour, so until somebody comes to me and tells me it’s true I will take it as a rumour. I will be waiting for official news.
“I don’t know how to take this information but if there is a proposal I will see if I go or what to do.
“Personally, to have the chance to play in Europe is a dream and it’s makes me emotional to think that my name is known in England, but I will have to wait.”
We are apparently favourites to sign Calderon ahead of other teams in Europe due to his friendship with Paulo Da Silva.
