Newcastle’s Enrique Chooses Wages Ahead of Ambition
By
Let’s face it; why else would he want to stay at Newcastle?
The rumours concerning Sunderland’s interest in Newcastle’s Jose Enrique have been in full-swing today.
After a last-ditch attempt to sign Maynor Figueroa at the end of the summer transfer window Sunderland have been continuously linked with left-backs. George McCartney has failed to cement his position in the side and more recently Ricco has been Brucie’s preferred choice in that position. It’s a clear signal that not only have we got a problem filling the role but Steve Bruce would like to improve the side in that area come January.
I think it’s safe to say, the majority of Sunderland supporters would prefer Figueroa over Enrique.
No doubt when the mags start to stumble Enrique will be the first player on the phone to his agent complaining that Hughton has misspelled his name on his Birthday card and that he’ll never play for Newcastle again…oh but he loves the fans and they have the best stadium in the UK. Well…between Scotland and Sunderland that is.
Enjoy playing in the fizzy pop league our little Spanish camarero.
We want Figueroa Brucie, any chance you can make it happen?

Well, well, another bitter Sunderland fan that cannot and will not ever accept Newcastle United will always be more fashionable than Sunderland regardless of what league we are in. Dont blame the players, its what EVERYONE is thinking not just them. Enrique is staying with Newcastle because the prospects are simply better and quote; “Loves the city, Loves the Club, Loves the Fans” Whats more our fans dont racially abuse the parents of our players… cough Darren Bent’s Mother…

….maybe he just doesnt want to sign for a club which at best will never be more than an average premier league side whos fans desert in massive numbers when things dont go well…..he probably would go back to a club in spain where is wages would be alot lower so its nothing to do with money….just good taste!!!

Not a touch of bitterness anywhere in that report :)
Even though you’re in the Premier league who knows or cares about you apart from the local press ?
Get used to it, you will always be the second club in the North East ! (Unless of course Gateshead make it to the Football League)

People of newcastle get a GRIP!!!. In what world are newcastle possibly better than sunderland. No World is the answer. Luis enrique is not even fit to lace warren bartons boots never mind get into a PREMIERSHIP side such as sunderland. Maybe he would be a good bench warmer for us and he plays every week for you. Look at the state of your football club, it is a total wreck. Fat mike ( the Legend ) is doing a terrific job and rumour has it he has been spotted getting a new niall quinn tattoo!! Face it you are a spent set of nearly men who never quite acjieved what you set out to do. I also would like to add you wont even break sunderland championship points total of 105 and you are in a piss poor league!! We will see when you do a leeds and implode. Cant wait you sad geordie Bas***ds!!! FTM and merry xmas to the SCUM.

why are sunderland fans suprised??? nobody in there right mind would leave newcastle for sunderland FACT, it would be like leaving liverpool for everton or aston villa for birmingham, stop trying to do what you have always done and that get press of our name come back down to earth after the wigan game then hahaha newcatsle will be back in the prem next year and 13 odd places abover the mackems, mind you people still see sunderland as the newcastle tag alongs evan in the championship ahhaa

HAHA haway lads it would be seriously impossible for any sunderland fan to be jealous of newcastle. One question what have you ever won? Thought so. I cant see newcastle ever being a major force again. Even your greatest idol didnt want you at the time you needed him the most. He preferred MOTD apparently. Think something is seriously wrong there. Hows the new staduim going anyway Sportdirect. com what a complete joke you have become. Newcastle are embarrasing and to be honest if i didnt hate you so much i would feel sorry for you. If i remember correctly birmingham and wigan were premier! Where are you again????FTM scummy CUN**S

December 1st, 2009 at 11:13 pm
Didnt duff say he would never leave and that he loves the fans city etc. didnt bassong, the only reason you have nolan and smith is becaus eno one wants them. also they would gladly play fizzy pop football on 60 grand a week instead of having hard fought games week in week out. but who wouldnt? lets face it ur league is shit nolan has 9 goals or summit he scorfe dnone last season for use, just shows he’s at his level. if any of your players were any good they would al,ready be gone as the best already have. enrique is saying what every player says….just before he leaves! he’s worried about getting booed from the fans if the move stalls. he will jump at the chance to play n prem possibly europe and beating arsenal and liverpool….when was the last time you took 7 points of the big4 in 4 games…yes u drew with manu n chelsea albeit 0-0’s. when did u last have a top english scorer…shearer? how bad things have gone since then. slowly but surely the best player have jumped ship…bellamy escaped and look at him now. people go to newcastle as a springboard. agents tell player go to newcastle its a good ‘’starter” club to get u recognised.e.g bassong martins. wait til u get to prem next year. and that leaue is easy. we were mid table in january with likes of murphy n whitehead and we won tht league/ carrol shola guthrie nolan smith gutierrez collocinni lovenkrands etc have all shown they cant do a thing///see u next year or hopefully 4th round of cup.. catts n cana show nolan smith how its dun….how do u feel that we have henderson campbell catts bent bardsley turner all on brink of call ups or alreayd there…ui have mr carrol for u21’s ….clap clap

Sign for Sunderland mean Ambition !? come on guys you’re not Top4 club or even Tottenham,Everton,Mancity or Aston Villa, Sunderland is just well-run average team, Newcastle is the joke also but I still think if he want to move out he should be go to bigger club than Sunderland, No doubt he can.
IMO, You interest in Jose because of 1 reason. Your manager is Geordies. that’s all.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:44 am
Ha ha ha,
Never heard so much bollox in my life. The Mackems are on a temporary high and they’re just bitter that the best thing about their team is their Geordie manager!
Next year they’ll come back down to earth with a bang when we’re doing the double over them again. How quickly they forget the last 20 years eh?
Keep dreaming boys!!!

Kris, wow you know nothing at all about Football do you? What have Newcastle ever won? They’ve won 4 top division titles, 6 FA cups and a European cup (Uefa cup). That’s 11 major trophies, more then Sunderland.. In what world are they better? That would be in the world where they have a bigger stadium, more fans, better recent history (Champions League, Premiership runners up on more then one occasion ect), more major trophies won and a bigger and better city. Oh and the guys called Jose Enrique not Luis Enrique you clown.

Seems to me like a lot of goerdie muppets are living on a diferent planet. Shite team, shite league and shite board! Please just accept that your sorry excuse for a club are jealous of sunderland. The tide has turned and there will be no going back for the nearly men geordie twats!!!FTM. You wont even get promotion FACT!!! Smith, Nolan, and the curly haired wiggy fucker and enrique all going in jan, hahahahahhaha. UNLUCKY………!!!!

Get some facts right please you footballing no brainer!!!

Isn’t it strange how all the SMB comments are “hidden due to low comment rating”. It just shows the level of support you lot have. I.E. None!
I can be honest and fair and say that at the moment Sunderland are a well run club and are probably having thier best season in a while, ever since Monkey Heed had you in the top half. But form is temporary, and all the slating you are giving us could easily come crashing down on you. It may not be long before you are back to being a yo-yo club. Ok we are in a s**te league, but we are the least s**te out of 24 other teams. We will see you next year (unless you collapse and get relegated) and normal service in the north east will resume.
December 3rd, 2009 at 9:05 pm
Kris thinks that Sunderland being relegated bottom of the league on a record low of 15 points isn’t as embarrasing as Newcastle being relegated by a single point on a total of 34. Well I suppose that just shows what even the mackems think of their own club..
