Paulo da Silva Paraguayan Captain
By
New boy da Silva has signed for Sunderland as a relative unknown in these parts.
At 29, he’s been capped 53 times for his country (Paraguay) and has signed for Sunderland from Mexican club Taluca on a 3 year deal.
In 2007, da Silva was named in the South American team of the season and voted Mexico’s player of the year after leading his club to the league title in 2008.
He stands at 5′11, plays with composure and apparently has an excellent reading of the game. Let’s hope he continues the success he’s enjoyed in South America with the lads.

Alright mate, love the chant for Silva in the new chants section. Where is that Youtube video from? Looks like some political gathering gone a bit mental ;)
