lets get 1 thing straight….we won! fair and square!arsenal probably were better in possesion etc, i was at thu game and only remember 1 chance early on wen eduardo was 1v1 and tried 2 be cocky instead of doing wat daz did 50 minutes later and crash into thu net…..another thng u only had v.persie n clichy missin….wenger tried 2 b clever and nt play arshavn n it backfired…..anelka had no problem plyn 4 chelsea …..n if u want to be winning titles u cnt complain wen u dnt beat us cos of internationals did chelsea or liverpool wen thy cudn bt man city….robbie keane plyd full 90 mins 4 spurs as did dunne 4 villa doyle 4 wolves oshea 4manu etc etc get over it ur plyrs cudnt handle cana hendo n 45000 delighted mackems

John, honestly mate what are you going on about? I dont even know where to start, it appears the other lads have torn apart most of your arguement. However it did make me laugh when you said our players aren’t full internationals… our 2 stand in centre backs both captain paraguay and ghana respectively (Da Silva and Mensah) neither of which required play-offs to reach the world cup, Lorik Cana captains his country too and gave a performance that will no doubt have Wenger kicking himself that he didnt sign him when he had the chance. Darren Bent started for england against Brazil…sorry did you miss that game due to the lack of arsenal players involved? I could go on to list the rest of our internationals but according to John you have to play for france to call yourself a ‘full’ international.

Your french lads ought to think themselves lucky Ireland were without Andy Reid, judging by yesterdays game he is more creative than any of your continental S**t.

Ziggy what are you going on about? We’ve already beaten Bolton this season.

We only had one chance? Well that’s that then. You obviously didn’t watch the game. As for the penalty, it would have been extremely soft. It was the right decision.

John what are you going on about? These players are fit enough to play a few games in a week. Stop making poor excuses mate. You’re embarrassing yourself. Your team were beaten by a better, more organised side on the day.

Sunderland fans on high after a very lucky win! Yes, lucky! I did watch the match. You had a one good chance and you scored, that’s lucky. There should have been a penalty for Arsenal but referee couldn’t see it. that’s very lucky. So you won, good for you but don’t get too cocky or you will get punished by Portsmouth, Bolton or the likes.

The point is that it is not a level playing field. Lauding Chelsea just means that you are congratulating those with the most money. What’s the point in that ? You are due no credit. You had a week to prepare, with fresher players, against a team that would be physically more tired. That’s not an excuse. It’s a fact. Your players are not all full internationals. In any case, frankly, teams will wise up to you after Xmas, where you will slip down in the premiership table. It always happens to johnny come latelys with money. It happened to Portsmouth and it will happen to you. Don’t try to extract kudos when all you did was take advantage of a very good day to be playing us. On the last point, if a team genuinely deserves to beat Arsenal and were clearly the better side, then congratulations. This was not one of those situations.

Never mind the fact we won and having seen the entire game cant really agree with your view of this, but I must admit your argument does have a basis and a very obvious flaw with your team winning the premiership, if all you can blame the loss on is the international games as well as injuries, I seem to notice our main players were missing too, but it shows that obviously your squad does not have enough depth to be contenders for the title I mean I didnt see Man utd or Chelsea suffering too much.

But…we outplayed Liverpool and we outplayed Man Utd. You obviously did not watch either game and I’ll bet you didn’t watch the game yesterday.

Either way…we won yesterday and that’s all that matters to us. I doubt you’ll win the league now. Your midfield is too soft. Chelsea are the best side I’ve seen against Sunderland so far this season.

A mid-table finish would be progress for us. I really don’t see your point, I’m not trying to compare our success to that of Arsenal and Man Utd but give credit where it’s due. You’re a very sore loser mate, just like your manager.

Mark, the basis of your argument is that you want to convince everybody that your win was well deserved and that Sunderland possess quality. It’s a very weak argument my friend. You won against Liverpool with another bizarre lucky goal and then you went and tanked it against Birmingham. Why don’t you just admit that you were opportune yesterday, and that a mid table finish will be a good season.
