Sunderland Interested in Diego Buonanotte?
By
There are a few rumours surfacing today that Sunderland want to sign Diego Buonanotte.
You’re probably thinking “who?” or “whee” or “his name sounds tremendous. It ends in a vowel! He’s probably going to be the best player in the world! If we don’t sign him, I’ll be absolutely devastated, oh and…who?”
Diego Buonanotte is a 21 year old midfielder and stands at only 5ft 2. Yes 5ft 2! He was born in Teodolina, Santa Fe and is currently playing for River Plate in Argentina.
The player’s nickname is ‘El Enano’ which roughly translates to ‘the Dwarf’ which is not really surprising given his size but despite his short stature, the midfield playmaker has really made a name for himself in South America and made a big impact at last summer’s Toulon Tournament. He finished top goalscorer in the tournament after netting 4 times.
Buonanotte has played 87 games and scored 21 goals. He’s supposed to be an exciting talent but is being chased by a handful of other Premier League clubs. We can only hope that he didn’t support Everton as a boy.
